Hi! I'm Sumit
Brand and Growth Strategist | AI-Native Marketer
A good story has always been the foundation for all my achievements in the past. I've shaped brand narratives across fashion, SaaS, CPG, and QSR first as a copywriter and later more holistically as a brand manager overseeing strategy, product development, and analytics. Over time, I learned how the right words at the right moment could move people, shift behavior, and create growth.
That same focus on how language influences people is what drew me into AI. Early on, I saw how natural language processing and machine learning could extend the principles of storytelling at scale. Since then, I've built and tested tools that automate marketing operations end to end. Clustering algorithms, topic modeling, building retrieval-augmented workflows are some of things that I see as storytelling for machines.
Why This Site Exists
This is where I explore ideas that stretch beyond my core marketing practice. I've always been interested in how communication and computation intersect, and this platform gives me a way to share experiments, reflections, and tools that aren't just about campaigns or growth metrics. It's a space to document my explorations and to connect with others who are just as fascinated with how we communicate with each other, and with machines.
Where I'm Headed
My time as a creative professional helped me understand how context shapes perception. My academic background deepened that awareness into a passion for mediated communication and its influence on the human psyche.
This connects naturally to NLP methods like ranking algorithms, chunking strategies, and information retrieval as it mirrors how humans have always structured ideas and guided understanding. (Or I'm wrong in which case a neurologist could make his career by studying my brain's proclivity for hierarchical, structured output)
Only a Git Deals in Absolutes (Sorry, Obi-Wan)
Lines between creative, data, and machine learning have been blurry for a while now. Trying to chart a part between computational social science and information science has only led me to realize that there's one large interdisciplinary clusterf framework where we can continue to push the boundaries of human + AI collaboration.
I'm open to collaboration, advisory roles, and joint projects in NLP research and applications.
